On “Darkness”

Dark can be beautiful or ugly.

A dark-skinned person can be beautiful.

A darkened piece of fruit is likely not going to be tasty.

Darkness can be something you’re afraid of, but that also excites you, and is true to your Heart.

Darkness can be a shadow that is actually related to your greed, anger, or lust and quite icky.

A dark piece of clothing, or wearing all black, can be seen as professional or majestic.

Blackened dirty clothing can be a sign that perhaps that person is homeless and could really use some love and support!

Technological devices are oftentimes black and that is great because it’s hard for them to get dirty.

Coffee is black and some people absolutely love it and others don’t like it at all.

Black can be the greatest thing ever when it’s written on its dual contrast of white paper for all to see and read the ink most clearly.

You wouldn’t want black ink on a dark blue background, for those who are more blind would not be able to read what you say!

Piano keys are black, and that’s wonderful, because if you chose a crazy color some people may be really turned off. That wouldn’t make sense, unless it was a specially-designed piano for a particularly color-loving person who just had to have pink keys and break the societal mode.

Darkness can be the womb in which we came from, the void, the blackness out of which all life expanded and formed.

Black can signify death, the coming to an end, like leaves that blacken and die.

Black can be the pupil of your eye, which takes all light in but does not reflect any back.

Not being afraid of black can be a symbol that you have transcended your fears and healed yourself.

Avoiding wearing black can be seen in a way that you are seeking the light or would just prefer to brighten your day with color!

So the question of darkness is that each instance is different!

Your mind tries to grasp onto notions, cling to ideas to have something to hold onto, and sometimes cannot understand paradoxes that transcend categories of duality. The Heart does that. It transcends. It is infinite. It is wide and expansive. It is an opening to quantum consciousness, to God!
